Ecología integral y Trinidad: la participación de la biósfera en la dinámica trinitaria
Lucas Cerviño2023
This paper explores the possibility of interpreting the relationship between the Biosphere (the system made up of all living beings on the Earth and their constitutive interrelationships of mutual influence) and the Christian Trinity as a participation in the trinitarian dynamism. This can generate and strengthen the awareness of a common fraternal and cosmic origin, belonging and future, which would help to overcome a reductionism that hinders an authentic ecological spirituality, assuming human interpersonal relationships as the only way of participating in Trinitarian interrelations. Thus it would be possible to awaken the urgency of a life style change from consumption to sobriety; from an anthropocentric sacredness to contemplating the sacredness of the interweaving of life that is the biosphere, which allows us to feel part of a whole without ceasing to be what we are; from the unconsciousness of our ecological footprint that pollutes and unbalances to an awakening that allows us to become aware to rebalance the impacts that our way of life have caused to the Biosphere.
