Espiritualidad ecológica. Aprender a vivir de otra manera
Melloni, Xavier; María Toscano; Enrique Lluch; Montserrat Serrano; Fidel García2022
This publication is the result of the presentations and conclusions of the annual Conference of the General Commission of Justice and Peace held between November 18 and 20 in Manresa, Catalonia, on the occasion of the fifth centenary of the arrival of Saint Ignatius to the city. The program brought the phases of the Ignatian spiritual exercises closer to integral ecology, to go through the process of ecological conversion that concludes with a transformation of life habits and contributes to an integral development of creation. The sequence consists of five phases: (i) fostering awareness of the destructive drives and the need for reconciliation; (ii) remembering the excellence of loving care; (iii) understanding the economic system that creates so much inequality and death for a large portion of the population; (iv) assuming the mission of those who feel the blessedness of God’s justice, reaffirming the commitment to defend the rights of peoples that allow them to move towards peace; (v) contemplation to achieve love, cultivated through contact with the source that gives us life.
