External ecology as a safeguard of Creation, of the natural environment, must be verticalized, supplemented by an internal ecology: a transforming ecospirituality of the cultural environment which conditions our relationships with others and with nature. It is not simply a question of adding – as a new layer – a spiritual dimension to ecological commitment or an ecological dimension to the spiritual journey, but to understand that ecology and spirituality form a whole. They are inseparable, because we are with the Earth in a community of being, life and destiny.
