Spiritual Ecology: The Cry of the Earth
Vaughan-Lee, Llewellyn (ed.)2013
This book is a collection of responses to the call of the Earth. It is not offered as a solution to a problem because the world is not a problem; it is a living being in distress. The Earth needs our attention. It needs us to help heal its body, damaged by our exploitation, and also its soul, wounded by our desecration, our forgetfulness of its sacred nature. Only when we remember what is sacred can we bring any real awareness to our present predicament. The book offers a compilation of articles which articulate a spiritual response to the ecological crisis, based on contributions from different Traditions, including a selection of the most inspiring voices on behalf of our living planet.
