Mariapolis El Diamante to fostering integral ecological conversion
El Diamante, Puebla, Mexico7 December 2021
Mariápolis El Diamante of the Focolare mouvement, state of Puebla (Mexico), unanimously approved a declaration of commitment to promote integral ecological conversion. In a participatory process developed over the last six months, the community developed a diagnosis and agreed on a set of strategic proposals to improve the quality of their relationship with nature and the environment, in all aspects of its existence: water, energy, food, waste, transport, gardens, etc. The commitment adopted is indefinite and provides for an annual review, during the ‘Creation time’, as well as the celebration of the improvements achieved. Josep Maria Mallarach, from the Silene association, advised and accompanied the process.
Since 2019, Silene has been collaborating regularly with Ciutat Nova magazine, linked to the same movement, characterized by a great openness to intercultural and interreligious dialogue, and oriented towards peace and unity.
