Day on Faith, Ecology and Spirituality: Dialogue on sustainability in Catalonia

The General Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Government of Catalonia promotes innovation and research in the field of religious diversity, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the knowledge of religious culture in Catalan society and the impetus of interreligious dialogue as a tool to promote coexistence and tolerance. Through the RELIG calls organized since 2014 the Directorate General supports research projects in order to obtain scientific results and intervention proposals applicable in the field of religious diversity management. During the annual day, the results of these projects are disseminated.
The theme of the day of this year is to reflect on how the concepts of sustainable development and integral ecology become a meeting point and dialogue between different religious confessions. The objective is to disseminate research projects on sustainability and religion, to disseminate information resources and experiences on ecology and sustainability driven by religious confessions. The day is aimed at staff at the service of the Catalan public administrations. Specifically, professionals who have to plan public services or attend to people from different cultural backgrounds and religions; those in the field of social intervention, ecology and sustainability, as well as research personnel in matters of religious affairs and sustainability.
