Getting to knowing the Romanesque churches of L’Alt Pirineu Natural Park through Art

The Eco of the Hermits is a project set up by the Espai Dansa Natura in the municipality of Farrera (Catalan Pyrenees), whose aim is to promote knowledge of the churches of the L’Alt Pirineu Natural Park through artistic performances accompanied by talks about the church and its natural surroundings.The idea is the result of a creative process based on ‘listening’ to the church and its natural environment that helps establish a dialogue between the building and the artist and provides the public with a fresh vision of the site. The project embraces seven churches and performances by fifteen artists.

The objective of the project is to encourage visitors to these mainly Romanesque churches to pay as much attention to the history and echo of the building as to its actual structure.>
