International Conference on Complexity and Regional Aspects of Natural Holy Places

Following the series of conferences in Tartu (2007), Kernavė (2008), Turaida (2009), Seili (2010), Kętrzyn (2011) and Kaliningrad (2012), the 7th international conference on Natural Holy Places in the Baltic Sea Region will be organised in St Petersburg, Russia, in 2013.
The conference Complexity and Regional Aspects of Natural Holy Places will he held on 9–14 May 2013 in St Petersburg, Russia, organized by the St Petersburg State University, Regional History Department, with assistance of Estonian Literary Institute.
The main topics of the conference will be: the topography of natural holy places in connection with rituals; the changing of natural holy places in time, and reasons for and importance of this processes; and the different forms of regional holy places on a local scale.
