6th International Conference on Sacred Landscapes in the Baltic Sea Region

The Kaliningrad Museum of History and Art, Kaliningrad, Russia, is organising the 6th international conference on natural holy places in the Baltic Sea region, from 16-20 of May 2012. The conference focus will be sacred landscapes of the Baltic region.
Five previous conferences discussed different aspects of natural holy places in the Baltic region. In Tartu (2007) holy groves; in Kernavé (2008) folklore and related topics; in Turaida (2009) definitions and categories; in the Seili Island (2010) connections between natural holy places and water bodies; and finally in Kętrzyn (2011) relations between natural holy places and dwelling, burial and manufacturing places.
