International Seminar Connecting Natural & Cultural Heritage

The Campus of Cultural and Natural Heritage together with the Master in Heritage of the University of Girona organized an International Seminar to know, through some of its main promoters, the project ‘Connecting Practice’ and the applicability of the integrated management of the natural and cultural heritage.
Connecting Practice is a joint initiative of IUCN and ICOMOS, born in 2013 within the framework of the UNESCO World Heritage Programme, with the aim of exploring and developing effective tools and methodologies for the evaluation and joint management of natural heritage and cultural.
After two phases, the project had finalized. Looking at the potential third phase, this seminar aims to know in depth this initiative and explore its potential applications in Catalonia. Josep-Maria Mallarach, Silene Association president, chaired the roundtable devoted to discussing challenges and opportunities for connecting natural and cultural heritage.
