Launching the book ‘Natura i espiritualitat a Catalunya’ in Montserrat

The new book by Josep Gordi, professor of Geography at the University of Girona, Catalonia, combines reflection, testimonies and a kind of practical handbook, including a number of proposals for approaching the spirituality of the nature. The prologue is from Josep M. Mallarach, coordinator of Silene.
In the first part, after the introductory chapters, the work contains ten interviews, with people of recognized spirituality, linked to various spiritual traditions present in Catalonia: Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism … The practical part contains ten tips to live in fullness Nature: walking, running and swimming; silence, solitude, humility, contemplation and meditation, conscious attention, joy … And it also proposes, as a geographer, ten privileged places where to carry out these practices, natural spaces of high Spiritual value, such as Montserrat, El Miracle, Puiggraciós, Montsant, Poblet, Núria, etc.
“Nature and Spirituality in Catalonia” was presented publicly in Mollet del Vallès on Thursday 19 December at 7:00 p.m. Within a series of book presentations devoted to “Essential Knowledge”, which is one that guides us to live in accordance with the legacy of the traditions of wisdom of mankind.
Three days later, on Sunday, December 22, the book was presented again in the gardens of Santa Cova de Montserrat, at 11:30 in the morning, this time with the Benedictine monk Vicenç Santamaria, one of the ten people interviewed in the book “Nature and spirituality”, one of the three people in charge of a course that, with the same name as the book, is offered at the house of Espiritualidad del Miracle since 2008, throughout the four seasons .
