Postgraduate course on the spiritual meanings and values of nature – 4th edition
Girona-Miracle-NúriaFebruary-July 2019
The Fundació Universitat de Girona offers the fourth edition of the postgraduate course on Nature’s meaning and spiritual values: perception, communication, management and integration. The course proposes addressing the topic in a rigorous and inclusive way, from a theoretical and applied point of view at the same time. It offers a space for reflection on the ultimate reasons that compromise us to live and act in favor of nature, as well as the implications that these reasons have on personal and collective ethics, in line with the deep ecology, thus as tools and related techniques, in order to be able to integrate them into the daily functioning of organizations and entities, be they public, private or third sector.
The Silene Association collaborates actively in this course, which is directed by Dr. Josep M Mallarach and coordinated by Dr. Josep Gordi, with the active implication of ten more teachers.
The course will develop from February 2 to July 13, 2019. The course is organized into four modules (specialization courses), from Friday to Sunday, which is possible to enroll separately.
Venues: The initial and final classes will be held at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Girona – Campus Barri Vell de Girona. The first three modules will be carried out in El Miracle, a holy landscape in Central Catalonia, and the fourth module in Núria, another holy natural site in the Catalan Pyrenees, at ca. 2000 m of altitude.
Registration: www.fundacioudg.org, or at the headquarters of the Fundació Universitat de Girona.
Six scholarships are offered (50% enrollment).
