Proposal to include the intangible heritage of Cap de Creus Natural Park
Cap de Creus Natural Park, CataloniaNovember 2022
The Silene Association has presented an allegation so that the intangible heritage, and its cultural and spiritual values, were properly treated in the Management Plan (Plan Rector de Usos y Gestión -PRUG) of the marine part of the Natural Park of Cap de Creus, Catalonia, which it is public information.
Silene’s contribution covers aspects of approach, methodology, regulations and the program of actions linked to the fifth objective of the PRUG: to conserve tangible and intangible cultural heritage. The main values of the intangible heritage that should be preserved are silence, beauty and harmony, in addition to other historical and spiritual values linked to selected coastal sites. This would imply establishing limitations to certain public uses, especially those of a noisy and aggressive nature. In this way, Silene reinforces the proposals already presented by the Sommar Association, with which it has collaborated since its creation.
