Landscape sacralisation and sacred sites
Zagreb, Croatia 2-3 June 2016
The third international scientific Congress of medieval archeology, organized by the Institute of Achaeology of Zagreb, on June 2 and 3 in Zagreb (Croatia), was dedicated to examining the sacralization of the landscape and the establishment of sacred places. Thirty papers were presented, most of them linked to sacred places and landscapes of the Balkan peninsula, and some linked to Central and Eastern Europe. The vast majority of these sites are still considered sacred today.
The events of the congress were published in 2018 by Institut za arheologiju / Institute of Archaeology Zagreb de Croàcia, with the following title: ZBORNIK INSTITUTA ZA ARKHEOLOGIJU SERTA INSTITUTI ARCHAEOLOGICI KNJIGA / Volume 10.
