Spanish translation of the IUCN guidance on cultural and spiritual significance of nature for protected and conserved areas

The Spanish translation of the IUCN guidance Cultural and spiritual significance of nature. Guide for the governance and management of protected and conserved natural areas has just been released. The project was possible thanks to the support of the Spanish Autonomous National Parks Agency and the Silene Association. The technical review of the translation was carried out by Josep-Maria Mallarach, one of the co-authors.

It is worth remembering that the Silene Association had already actively participated in the long preparation of the original version of the guide, as well as in its layout and publication, carried out in 2021 in Catalonia. And that the origin of the guide dates back to the IUCN Resolution 4099 adopted in 2008, which Silene had also promoted.
