Water is Life. Manifesto for a holistic and committed vision of water

In the context of the current social debate about water, the state of its quality and quantity, uses and distribution, Silene wants to make its contribution through the statement “Water is Life. Manifesto for a holistic and committed vision of water”.

From a holistic perspective, elements of reflection are proposed for a comprehensive understanding of water that serve as guidance for personal and collective actions more focused on essential aspects that are usually ignored. Beyond scientific, economic, political or ecological issues, beyond pragmatism, emphasis is placed on the intangible dimensions of water and its intrinsic values. A deep understanding is advocated, based on listening to the wisdom of Nature, which integrates the entirety of what water is in the rich and complex fabric of Life, and criteria are pointed out from which it can be deployed a fair and   more harmonious governance of water, both ecologically and socially, more respectful and reverent towards Mother Earth and the gift of Life.
