Words of the world for an Ethic of the Earth

In the framework of the International Congress of Minority Languages to be held in Bilbao (Spanish Basque Country) in March (which, due to the restrictions associated with Covid, was held virtually) Ibon Tobes and Natalia Álvarez presented a paper on “Palabras del mundo para una ética de la Tierra (Words of the world for an ethic of the Earth). Based on a collection of selected key terms from various minority languages, the authors argue that it is possible to transmit ethical and moral values that, from places far away from the Earth, reveal a choral worldview, a resilient and harmonious way of living together in this world.
