Interpretation of the spiritual heritage related tro the natural and cultural heritage

On 24–25 March 2011 the Asociación para la Interpretación del Patrimonio (Association for Heritage Interpretation, AIP), a Spanish association, held their tenth conference in Olot. The key-note lecture by Josep-Maria Mallarach (Silene Association) was devoted to spiritual heritage and its links with natural and cultural heritage.

The conclusions of the workshop noted that spiritual heritage is “an indispensable resource for heritage interpretation,” that “we must reassess sacred sites and spiritual heritage” and that “it is necessary to restore the vision, experience and spirituality of inhabitants and take these factors into account in interpretive programmes.”
