Workshop “Shrines for Peace” at the diocese of Girona

On November 8th, the Shrines for Peace workshop will take place at the  Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Angels, at the top of Les Gavarres massif, a protected area mrar Girona, Catalonia. The topic is based on the proposal of Dr. Sílvia Aulet, director of the UNESCO Chair in Cultural Policies and Cooperation at the University of Girona. Aimed at people responsible for the shrines of the diocese of Girona, this one day workshop has three main objectives: 1. to present and discuss the application of the dimensions of personal, social and environmental peace in these shrines; 2. to outline a diagnosis of the Girona shrines with respect to these three dimensions, and 3. to agree on possible actions to promote to advance in these directions in the shrines that commit to them. The workshop is co-organized by the Bishopric of Girona, the General Directorate of Religious Affairs of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the aforementioned Chair at the University of Girona. The Silene Association assumes the secretariat.
