The man who stopped the desert

Yacouba Sawadogo, with determination, ingenuity and persistence, without any modern machines or technology, was able to stop a process of desertification that seemed inexorable and promote its restoration in his lands of Burkina Faso, avoiding the emigration of the hungry population. His example and testimony, inspired by Islamic values, is hopeful and inspiring to the Sahel and other arid regions  of the world, both to society and to the regenerated land.
