Promoting the potential of the Vallespir forests for integral health

The Verveine Association invited the Silene Association on 11 and 12 June to help it to foster initiatives linked to the promotion of the use of forests for integral health in Vallespir, northern Catalonia, France. On Friday afternoon she organized a meeting at the town hall of Morellàs i les Illes where Josep Maria Mallarach explained the values of forests for health, both from the perspective of ecosystem services and from the integral health of the people, whilst Laia Sadurní presented several experiences carried out in collaboration with the Hospital comarcal of Olot and the program ‘Mouring in the forest’ developed in collaboration with some centers of primary health assistance of the Garrotxa, Catalonia. On Saturday morning, Laia Sadurní led a forest bath in Riunogués, in which participated, among others, two councilors of the said council and members of La Verveine.
