Conference on the Governance of Protected Areas of Spain

The aim of the GOBERPARK congress is to learn about the evolution of management in the Natural Parks of Spain (equivalent to the IUCN Category V of Protected Areas) and to analyze its situation through a multidisciplinary approach. Its mission is to contribute to the good governance of protected natural spaces, with all the agents involved, creating spaces for debate and drawing bridges between various approaches and knowledge. The results of the congress aim to help improve public nature conservation policies through tools that are more inclusive and participatory, to achieve the common goal of more just and effective protection.

The international congress, linked to a conservation anthropology project, will be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Valencia, Spain, on 1-3 December.
