Sikh Faith Statement on the Environment

The statement addresses the meaning of the global ecological crisis, exposes the solution of Sikhism, based on the understanding of the unity between spirit and matter and the interconnection of all Creation, in a universe of innumerable galaxies; it exposes Sikh ideals, the need for the practice of philosophy, spiritual discipline, the institutions of Sangat, Pangat and Langar, the equality of men and women, and the sharing of resources communally.
