Ecological crisis and Geosciences: the need for Geoethics

This short presentation clearly argues the need for geoethics in the current global systemic crisis, from the perspective of the geosciences. It considers the new challenges associated with mining, geoengineering and groundwater, with their environmental and social impacts. The justifying reasons that are presented combine scientific, ethical, moral and metaphysical dimensions.
