Les virtuts ecològiques per a la nostra conversió

Starting from a characterization of the global ecological crisis, and its most prominent causes, the virtues necessary for ecological conversion are examined, based on the four obstacles identified by the encyclical Laudato si’: Against the denial of the problem: the awareness, awareness. Against comfortable resignation: a committed, combative attitude, fighting consumerism and waste, to the extent that each one can; an austerity that is responsible and happy at the same time, which is based on charity. Against the acceptance of the myth of progress, and blind faith in technical solutions: humility, environmental education, serene harmony with creation, making ourselves both aware and responsible, of the impacts we cause indirectly or directly. Against evasion: the contemplation of creation, recovering the contemplative and grateful gaze for all the gifts, the serene attention and the effort to being present.
