Ecology and creation. Contemporary Contributions of Christianity to Global Ecological Challenges.
Monastery of Pedralbes, Barcelona, Catalonia 10 February 2024
Morning session at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes, Barceloba, Catalonia, on Saturday 10 February, at 10 am.
The session will include the following presentations: “Orthodox Theological Foundations on Creation” by Archpriest Stavrophor John; “Ecological answers from the orthodox perspective” by Josep Maria Mallarach; “Testimony of the monastery of Solan, an agro-ecological project” by Eulàlia Sadurní; and “Integral ecology and survival, contributions from other Christian churches” by Antoni Matabosc. Next, a dialogue and colloquium moderated by Joan Richardson will follow. At the end, the first fascicle of the collection: “Ecology and Creation, a small anthology of contemporary orthodox responses to the global ecological crisis” will be presented. Language will be Catalan.
