The Cornwall Declaration on Environmental Stewardship
The Cornwall Alliance1999
The Cornwall Declaration is a manifesto defending the idea of the Creation drawn up by representatives from Jewish, Catholic and Protestant faiths in response to new tendencies within these religions that aim to redefine traditional teaching on environmental stewardship and our roles and functions as human beings. The declaration includes the principles that encourage believers in both the Jewish and Christian faiths to defend the natural world as God’s creation and to manage and work with the natural world for the benefit of humankind.
