The Uppsala Interfaith Climate Manifesto

Statement made by representatives of different religious traditions on the global climate change crisis urging political and religious leaders to assume their responsibility for the future of the planet, for the preservation of natural habitats and for living conditions for future generations.The following agreements were adopted: to ensure that people are well informed and thus able to take responsibility for their actions and implement effective measures against climate change; to call on political and business leaders to develop comprehensive strategies and actions; and to use religious convictions regarding the meaning of life to highlight the fight against global warming.
