Dialogue on “Nature, source of spirituality”
Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes (Barcelona - Catalonia) 14 October 2014
The Cultural Institute of the Barcelona City Council organizes in the Monastery of Pedralbes the activity “Nature, source of spirituality”, part of the cycle of the Pedralbes Dialogues, a series of dialogues that wants to turn this space into a meeting point for reflection on spirituality, relating to various areas of society such as art, nature, peace, business, culture, monastic traditions, and even secularism, among others. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 19: 30h at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Pedralbes by Enzo Bianchi, writer and Prior of the monastic community of Bose (Piamonte, Italy) and Francesc Torralba, doctor of philosophy and theology, professor of philosophy at the University Ramon Llull, Barcelona.
An hour before the start of the session, there is the possibility to freely visit the monastery, a jewel of the Catalan Gothic, founded in 1326, which was almost completely built in 13 months and has changed little since then. This fact gave it a unity of style difficult to find in other similar buildings. The Poor Ladies nuns lived in the monastery until 1983, when the medieval complex was opened to the public. Since then, the community lives in an adjacent building. Please confirm your attendance via email: pedralbes@fragmenta.cat
The event will be broadcast live on streaming http://barcelonacultura.bcn.cat/ and it will feature simultaneous translation from the Italian.
