Based in Jerusalem, is a partner organization of the International Partnership on Religion & Sustainable Development, in 2020, ICSD’s work focuses on The Seminary Faith and Ecology Project, continuing with The Faith Inspired Renewable Energy Project. ICSD also provides thought-leadership to faith-based communities and beyond through our writing, speaking, teaching and advocacy. The collection of reports, articles, courses and syllabus collections, blog, and other resources provide an access point for faith-based communities to explore the connections between their tradition and contemporary environmental issues.

A project of the journalist Beatriz Calvo that complements Ariadna Tv, aware of the responsibility that the word has to help form social consciousness by analyzing the true causes of the systemic crisis in which we find ourselves and to find solutions that take us out of the labyrinth. IUCN SPECIALIST GROUP ON RELIGION, SPIRITUALITY, ENVIROMENTAL CONSERVATION AND CLIMATE JUSTICE

The IUCN Religion, Spirituality, Environmental Conservation and Climate Justice Specialist Group focuses on outreach to faith-based institutions, movements and networks, as well as spiritual communities engaged in environmental conservation and climate change.. Promotes inter-religious cooperation and understanding, intercultural cooperation and caring for our planet. Religion and spirituality are understood to include main stream religions, spiritual traditions including indigenous and local belief systems, and modern non-religious spiritualism.

TRILOGIES ENTRE LE COSMIQUE, L'HUMAIN ET LE DIVIN

French site which facilitates numerous educational, reflection and awareness-raising resources, among others, to interior ecology, transition, economy and society, the role of the arts, etc. It also informs about events and has a repository of archives related to these topics, mainly in French speaking countries. Trilogies wants to contribute to address contemporary socio-ecological issues, helping to dialogue, to reconnect and to reenchant.

ACTALLIANCE

Alliance of ca. one hundred fifty churches and faith-based organizations, working together in campaigns and projects in 125 countries, usually related to social and environmental justice.

SPECIALIST GROUP ON CULTURAL AND SPIRITUAL VALUES OF PROTECTED AREAS

Specialist Group of the IUCN World Commisison on Protected Areas, consiting of over one hundred specialist from thirty countries. Together with UNESCO the Specialits group published the 2008 Best Practice Guidelines on Sacred Natural Sites and currently is preparing another global guidance for the cultural and spiritual significance of nature in the management and governance of protected and conserved areas.

THE DELOS INITIATIVE

The main purpose of the Delos Initiative, established in 2005, is to help in maintaining both the sanctity and the biodiversity of thes sacred natural sites, through the understanding of the complex relationship between spiritual / cultural and natural values. The Initiative is part of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA) Specialist Group on Cultural and Spiritual Values of Protected Areas.

TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE. MOVING FORWARD WITH TRADITION

This website of the Cultural Research Center Aigine, who has been working for the identification and maintenance of traditional knowledge in Kyrgyz for years, presents traditional knowledge grouped into three areas: rituals (linked to sacred natural sites and healers, among others); Ecological knowledge (linked to resilience, the use of natural resources, the interpretation of dreams, etc.) and social knowledge (genealogies, parentheses, games, etc.). It contains an extensive glossary in Kyrgyz language, resources and videos in Kyrgyz or Russian language.

ECOPEACE MIDDLE EAST

EcoPeace Middle East is a unique organization that brings together Jordanian, Palestinian, and Israeli environmentalists to promote cooperative efforts to protect their shared environmental heritage. Common dependency on key natural resources and a healthy environment facilitates cooperation between societies and nations, fostering the process of peacemaking in conflict regions.

LES BOIS SACRÉS EN AFRIQUE

This blog, funded by the French Institute of Biodiversity, aims to monitor “sacred forests” in Africa in order to follow the evolution of their management methods, the governace, the resulting social relations and also their biodiversity. It offers a bibliography of work on this theme; scientific monitoring of a number of sites and networks of collaborators.

THE ORTHODOX FELLOWSHIP OF THE TRASNFIGURATION

The Orthodox Fellowship of the Transfiguration is a pan-Orthodox organization from North and Central America. The OFT exists to hallow God’s Name “on earth as it is in heaven” by seeking the transfiguration of creation through the activation of the Christian calling toward transfigured life. In the context of the liturgical life of the Church, the OFT seeks to help extend the transfiguring activity of the sacraments into all creation through ascetic practice, the commandments, and the acquisition of virtue, thus restoring the beauty and integrity of God’s earthly temple.

THE FOUNDATION FOR THE CONTEMPLATION OF NATURE

The Foundation for the Contemplation of Nature, runs The Vrikshalaya Himalayan Center, a center for mindful living where meditation and yoga are combined with an experience of Himalayan village life, Uttarakhand, India, since 2013. The residential experiential program in Resilient Leadership has been designed to foster Critical Awareness and provide opportunities for Edgework; new experiences of placebased learning.

THE ALLIANCE OF RELIGIONS AND CONSERVATION

ARC is a secular organisation that helps the major religions of the world to develop their own environmental programmes, based on their own core teachings, beliefs and practices. Founded in 1995 by HRH Prince Philip, ARC is working with 11 major faiths through the key traditions within each faith.

INTERFAITH CENTER FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development, based in Jerusalem, works to catalyze a transition to a sustainable, thriving, and spiritually-aware society through the leadership of faith communities. ICSD unites faith communities, teachers and leaders to promote co-existence, peace, and sustainability through advocacy, education and action-oriented projects.

RÉSEAU D'ÉCOSITES SACRÉS

A network of sacred natural spaces, linked to various religious traditions, established in French-speaking countries in 2010, and which is still in an early stage. Have in common the fact of proposing concrete ways of life that can provide solutions to the contemporary social and ecological challenges, with a spiritual and environmental commitment. Provisionally, it is housed on the website of SOURCES, a French inter-religious association that publishes a magazine of interiority with that same name.
