Tecnocracy, ecosophy and the encounter of the intangible dimension of nature

On Friday, February 15, at 7 pm, in the Degree Hall of the Faculty of Arts, Jordi Pigem, PhD philosopher and professor of the postgraduate, will give the inaugural lecture of the fourth edition of the Postgraduate in Significance and Spiritual Values of the Nature, which is titled: Tecnocracy, Ecosophy and the encounter of the intangible dimension of nature.
Jordi Pigem is author, among others, of the book Angels and robots. The human interiority in the hyper-technological era, which won the Joan Maragall Foundation’s essay award in 2016. The book was published by Viena Edicions and the Joan Maragall Foundation, with an epilogue of the physicist-poet David Jou in 2017; and in the reviewed Spanish version by the Fragmenta publishing house in 2019.
On the same day, at 4 in the afternoon, the boardroom of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Girona (Campus Barri vell), the director, Josep Maria Mallarach, and the coordinator, Josep Gordi, will present the approach , the professors and the program of the postgraduate course. Although this session is aimed at enrolled students, it is open to other interested people.
