A declaration by the sacred sites Guardians of the Pamir, Tien Shan and Altai Sayan. Darvi Sum, Khovd aimag, Mongolia

Joint declaration of the traditional custodians of the sacred mountains of Pamir, Tien Shan and Altai Sayan (Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Republics of Altai and Khakasia-Russia, Tajikistan), agreed to Darvi Sum, Khovd Aymang, Mongolia, on the auspicious day of the black horse from the mid summer month of the year of the wooden horse (July 10, 2014). After an introduction that recalls the importance of the sacred places and the responsibility of the indigenous peoples they are caring for, the declaration raise nine recommendations to UNESCO, IUCN, ICOMOS and other international organizations, and commit to improving their collaboration and revitalizing their spiritual connections conducting regular ceremonies.
