Launching a postgraduate course on meanings and spiritual values of Nature

The Silene Association collaborates with the Fundació Universitat de Girona to offer the first edition of the postgraduate course on meaning and spiritual values of Nature: perception, communication, management and integration.
The course proposes addressing the topic in a rigorous and inclusive way, from a theoretical and applied point of view at the same time. The course will also provide a space for reflection on the ultimate reasons that compromise us to live and act in favor of nature, as well as the implications that these reasons have on personal and collective ethics, in line with ecology as well as related tools and techniques, so that they can be integrated into the daily functioning of organizations and entities, be they public, private or third sector. The course is directed by Josep Maria Mallarach (president of Associaicó Silene) and coordinated by Josep Gordi.
The course is aimed at all those whose interest in discovering, recognizing and living the values and spiritual meanings of nature can be an added value in their usual activities, such as: tourist guides, mountain guides, nature guides , environmental education professionals, professionals in the interpretation of natural heritage, managers and people in charge of natural heritage (protected natural areas cover 30% of Catalonia), managers of the cultural heritage linked to nature, public attention services In places of spiritual value, responsible and exploration monitors, professionals of the intervention and social action as well as certain health professionals. And also people linked to organizations that work on these issues and who want to integrate this intangible dimension of nature in their entity, unit or activity
Schedule: From February 5 to July 15, 2015.
Places: Theoretical classes will be held at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Girona – Campus Barri Vell de Girona. The rest, in several outings planned in the beechwood of Jordà, wash Sant Daniel and the Poblet Valley.
Duration: 250 hours (70 hours lectivess and 180 hours of studies and tutorials / 10 ECTS)
