The Qur’an’s emphasis on the sacred and methaphysical dimension of the universe should lead to a change in Muslims’ overall image of nature and themselves as well….Today, all thse principles are waiting rediscovery and analysis, so that the Qur’anic environemtnal ethic appropriate to meeting the present crisis can be worked out.
