Therese of Lisieux
Story of a Soul1898
He put the book of nature in front of my eyes, and I realized that all the flowers he created were beautiful, that the brightness of the rose and the whiteness of the lily did not remove the scent of the little violet or the dazzling simplicity of the daisy. I understood that if all the flowers were to be pink, nature would lose its springy charm and fields would no longer be dotted with flowers. So it is in the world of souls, which is the garden of Jesus.
