UN Resolution to designate 22 of May as International Mother Earth Day

On 22 May 2009, the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a resolution designating 22 May as International Mother Earth Day and inviting member states, international organizations, regional organizations, civil society, NGOs to observe Mother Earth Day and to create awareness about it.
